SUMMARY:“Weather or Not”
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Several artists chose to explore storms and turbulent scenes\,\
nsuggesting the emotional weather we carry within. John Schisler\ndepicts
towering thunderheads\, like the heavy burdens of life as they\nrise drama
tically over the marsh\, their glowing forms illuminating the\nsky before
they pass\, in his oil painting\, “Where Thunder Rolls”.\nIn Cindy Bey
ers pastel\, “Wave Swept”\, she depicts a weathered\nlighthouse of Lew
es which not only stands steadfast against the harsh\nwaves mother nature
throws at her\, but are saviors to those sailors\nlost in the storm. Joyce
Condry shows the anger of lightening in her\nacrylic painting\, “Clear
the Beach”. We have all experienced the\nmad dash from the beach when th
is has occurred. The odd sensation of\nbeing in fog is expressed by Laurie
Fields in her acrylic painting\,\n“In a Fog”\, where not seeing far a
head can bring a sense of\nmystery and unease\, like walking in a place yo
 u know but that feels\nslightly unfamiliar.\n
